Van catches fire at Risley

FIRE engines from Warrington and Birchwood were called out to deal with a vehicle ablaze in Warrington Road, Risley.
When they arrived at the scene shortly after 9.30pm last night they found the fire involved a box van.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus use a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
They were at the scene for about an hour.
In another incident yesterday, firefighters from Penketh were called out to a report of an elderly man have fallen and sustained face injuries in Widnes Road, Penketh.
The crew administered first aid before handing the man over to paramedics who took h im to hospital by ambulance.
