LATCHFORD Albion had five representatives in the Lancashire squad which inflicted a resounding 56 12 victory over Cumbria under 19’s.
Unfortunately Matty Nash missed the game through illness, however Ben Harper, Charlie McCurrie and Matty Ellis all took to the field, with Albion head coach Martyn Ellis, forming part of the coaching set up.
The Albion players certainly did themselves proud in a game in which Matty Ellis was judged the official man of the match, controlling the game from both the stand off, and hooking role, proving a constant threat to the Cumbrian defence.
Charlie McCurrie (2) and Ben Harper (1) both managed to register tries in a fantastic victory in challenging conditions.
They move onto an away fixture against Yorkshire on November 17, where victory will see them retain the Three Counties Trophy.
Latchford Albion have announced initial pre-season details ahead of the 2020 campaign.
Both the under 18’s and open age will train together as, following the progression  of a number of under 18’s players to the open age set up this year, the club is keen to continue Intergrating players through the ranks.
Training will commence Wednesday, November 13 at Penketh High School All Weather, where both new and old will be made welcome.
