Firefighters help free woman trapped in car

FIREFIGHTERS used special equipment to help free a woman trapped in a car following a collision on Liverpool Road, Warrington.

The incident happened at 22.50 last night (Saturday) when two fire engines attended – one from Warrington and one from Penketh.

Crews set up specialist equipment to help release a woman trapped inside a vehicle.

The woman was then handed into the care of paramedics.

Firefighters then made sure the vehicle was safe.
