Bus boss praises local community which rallies after blaze

BUS boss David Fairbrother has praised the local community which rallied following a large blaze at his Bewsey premises during the early hours of Friday morning.

David, who runs Fairbrothers Travel & Coach Hire at Catherine Street, Bewsey, Warrington,  posted his words of thanks on social media saying: “As you may know or not know we had a fire at my depot in Bewsey just after midnight.

“Nobody was hurt which is the main thing. I just want to say thank you to a local resident named Paul who raised the alarm and saved more damage happening, a big thank you to the fire service who attended the fire.

“A couple of local companies rallied round with support of vehicles and help special mention to Ashcroft travel and Tanseys. Lots of support from the local community offering to help in any way and friends.

“All services are back to normal!”

Eight fire crews attended at the blaze which destroyed six vehicles.
