Warrington beach weekend success

1

WARRINGTON’S opening weekend of the Beach at Bank Park proved a huge success as residents from across the town enjoyed various seaside themed activities.

Fairground rides, face painting and deck chairs were just some of the activities on offer as well as pop-up sports including touch rugby, bowls and table tennis.

LiveWire in partnership with W Chadwick and Sons have brought the seaside to the town centre and the activities run every day from 1-5pm until Sunday 21 August.

The man-made beach, which is free to use, was officially opened by Emmerdale star, Joe Warren-Platt who plays Jacob Gallagher in the soap and the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Faisal Rashid.

  1. Why did they have an Emmerdale ‘star’ opening it ? Do young kids know who he is, I certainly don’t.

They should have had some pokemon characters opening it and then let the kids chase them round the park without mobiles lol.

Have to say the beach in the park looks really good fun and I loved seeing the donkeys there today. I wish I was little kid again so I could go in and play and ride on the donkeys 😀
