Nearly 300 painted rocks to line Lymm church pathway for Remembrance Sunday

LYMM Rocks and local community groups have joined forces to create a special tribute to the fallen, painting nearly 300 rocks to line the pathway of St Mary’s Church in Lymm for Sunday’s Remembrance parade.

The colourful rocks will be laid out along the pathway as the parade makes its way into and out of the church for the Remembrance service.

Among the rocks are 139 featuring names taken from the Royal British Legion Lymm Roll of Honour, providing a poignant reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
Following the Remembrance service, the rocks will be hidden at locations around the local area for people to discover, allowing the tribute to continue beyond Sunday’s commemorations.
The community initiative combines creativity and remembrance, bringing people together to honour those who served and ensure their names and sacrifices are not forgotten.
