FIRE crews were called to a field fire on Delph Lane, Warrington, believed to have started as a controlled burn which had got out of control.
Two fire engines, from Stockton Heath and Runcorn, attended the incident at 15:52, yesterday, Sunday.
Firefighters used two main jets to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Thermal imaging cameras were then used to check for hotspots, which were subsequently dampened down to ensure the area was safe.
