Jimmy Carr is bringing his brand of no-holds-barred comedy to Warrington’s Parr Hall next April, with two back-to-back performances of his new show, Killing Jokes.

Jimmy Carr slays. In fact, you might say the award-winning comedian is killing it.
But while everywhere else ‘killing’ is frowned upon, in comedy it’s a good thing.
Jimmy has ‘confirmed kills’ in more than 50 countries and on 13 TV specials – and now he’s returning to his favourite ‘killing grounds’ across the UK.
His new show, Killing Jokes, is described as Jimmy at his brutal, hilarious, life-affirming best and will arrive at Parr Hall on 22 April.

A spokesperson for the tour said: “The brand-new show is packed with fast, dark one-liners about all kinds of terrible things. But they are just jokes. They’re not the terrible things.
“Jokes are like magnets. They attract some people and repel others. You can joke about anything, but not with anyone.
“If you’re attracted to Jimmy’s brand of comedy and think you can take the jokes, then by all means come out and play.
“If you think you’d be offended, then stay away. At this point, being offended at a Jimmy Carr show is like buying a ticket to a horror movie and complaining you got scared. Don’t be a dummy.”

A household name on UK screens, Jimmy is well known for hosting more than two decades of Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Big Fat Quiz.
He also hosts the record-breaking UK version of Last One Laughing for Amazon, which returns for a third series in 2027.
No stranger to the stage, Jimmy’s show, Terribly Funny, sold more than 1.2 million tickets globally, including in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, making it the biggest-ever international stand-up comedy tour.
His most recent tour, Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny, surpassed that total and marked the first time he toured arenas in the UK and Ireland.
Jimmy also has a massive following online, with more than 21 million subscribers across all major social networks.
His YouTube channel has 2.16 million subscribers and more than 1.4 billion views, making him the most followed UK stand-up comedian on the platform.

Jimmy Carr’s Killing Jokes comes to Parr Hall on Thursday, 22 April, with performances at 7pm and 9.30pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10am. Visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org/whats-on or call the box office on 01925 442345.
