Officers investigating an attempted arson in Warrington have released a CCTV image and are appealing for information and witnesses.
At around 11pm on Tuesday 14 July, an unknown man was captured on CCTV footage approaching an address at Pocklington Court, Padgate.
It was reported that the man had attempted to set fire to a gas box outside of the property. Luckily, nothing caught fire.
As part of enquiries into the incident, officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to identify.
Detective Constable Jo Keppel said: “We have been conducting a number of enquiries to fully establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and, as part of our ongoing investigation, we have released this CCTV image of a man we believe holds vital information.
“I would encourage anyone who believes they recognise this individual, or has information in relation to the incident, to please contact us. The same goes for the individual pictured.
