FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle a large bonfire at Glazebury, Warrington.
At 21:52, one crew from Birchwood attended reports of a fire in the open near Wilton Lane, Glazebury.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a stack drag to extinguish the large bonfire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, which were then dampened down.
Earlier in the evening, at 18:01, one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire in woodland near Europa Boulevard, Warrington.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and a bucket of water to extinguish the fire within an area of woodland.
