A multi-talented 12-year-old girl from Orford, Warrington, is set to perform a recital at Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral this Friday.

The 12-year-old pianist and dancer, who will also be joined by her younger brother, discovered her love of performing when she joined Liverpool Theatre School’s Junior Academy at the age of four.
Joanna Moore will showcase her exceptional piano playing during a special recital at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on Friday, 21 August.
The gifted pianist, who won a scholarship to Chetham’s School of Music when she was just eight years old, has been performing from an early age. She first discovered her love of performing at Liverpool Theatre School‘s Junior Academy, where she began training in ballet, tap and musical theatre at the age of four.
She will be joined at the recital by her 10-year-old brother, Harvey, who is also a talented pianist. Joanna will play for 35 minutes before Harvey takes over for a 10-minute performance.
Joanna said: “Performing comes naturally to me and I love both playing the piano and dancing. I’m excited to be playing the piano at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. It will be a very special experience for me to perform alongside my brother in such a beautiful place.”
Norah Button of Liverpool Theatre School added: “Joanna joined Liverpool Theatre School’s Junior Academy when she was just four years old and it’s been wonderful to see her grow in confidence and develop as a performer. Whether she’s playing piano or dancing, she brings real focus and enthusiasm to everything she does. We’re incredibly proud of her and delighted to see her sharing her piano talent at such an iconic venue as Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.”
The recital will take place at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on Friday 21 August at 1.30pm and is free to attend.
