Warrington brow artist Carla Antal has been recognised among the Top 50 beauty professionals in the UK following this year’s UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
Carla, who runs Glow Studios in Warrington town centre, was previously shortlisted as a finalist in the Best for Brows (Non-SPMU) category.
Following the awards ceremony, Carla has now gone on to be recognised among the Top 50 professionals nationally, placing her alongside beauty professionals from across the UK.
For Carla, the recognition represents an important milestone in a journey that began with building a small independent beauty business in Warrington and developing it around a very specific approach to brow treatments: creating brows around the individual face, rather than simply following trends.
“I was incredibly proud just to become a finalist, so finding out that I had gone on to be recognised among the Top 50 nationally was a really special moment for me,” said Carla.
“I’ve put so much time into developing my technique, continuing my education and understanding how to create brows that genuinely complement someone’s features. I’ve always believed that brows shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. What works beautifully on one person might not work at all on another.
“That’s why my approach has always been very face-first and personalised. To have that philosophy recognised at a national level, while representing Warrington, means a huge amount to me.”
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards bring together professionals from across the country, with finalists recognised for their talent, creativity, consistency and commitment to the beauty industry.
The experience has also encouraged Carla to continue pushing herself and developing Glow Studios further.
“There is so much talent in this industry, and being surrounded by that level of talent has made me even more determined to keep improving,” she said.
“I don’t see Top 50 as the end of the journey. I see it as confirmation that I’m moving in the right direction. I want to keep learning, keep raising my standards and continue showing what can be achieved by an independent beauty business here in Warrington.”
Alongside her work with clients, Carla is passionate about education and raising standards within the beauty industry. Glow Studios has continued to grow its offering across bespoke brow treatments, lash treatments and advanced skincare, with a focus on personalised results and attention to detail.
“I’m incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted me, supported my business and recommended me to others. They are a huge part of why I’m able to celebrate this achievement today.
“To be able to take something I’ve built in Warrington and see it recognised among the Top 50 nationally is something I’m genuinely very proud of.”
Carla is now looking ahead to the next stage of Glow Studios, with plans to continue developing her skills, expanding the business and building on the recognition she has received within the UK beauty industry.
