PLANS have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council for a high-quality new house in Mill Bank, Lymm – following the demolition of an existing property on the site.
Proposed landscaping will be almost identical to the existing and there will be few views in or out of the site, planners have been told.
Immediately to the south of the site is a Grade 2 Listed property, which is at a higher level, looking down on the site.
The new dwelling has been designed to maximise the distance between it and neighbouring properties and to keep its overall height as low as possible.
Although the site is not within a conservation area the dwelling has been designed to respect its surrounding environment and heritage by incorporating elements which wouldn’t look out of place within the local area, say architects Randle White.
They add: “We believe the submitted plans demonstrate it is possible to create a high-quality, unique development with considerable architectural merit, which is both well considered and viable. In addition, we believe the proposed development can make a positive contribution to the area without adversely affecting the amenity of any neighbouring properties.”
The proposals are currently being considered by borough planning officers.
