Penketh and Sankey Gardening Society is back on Thursday 7th May after its Easter break with some timely advice about what to plant and where to plant it.
Marguerite Hughes, resident horticulturalist at Beetham Nurseries near Milnthorpe in Cumbria, makes a welcome return to the Society with a talk entitled “Location, location, location”. So, if you are not sure whether your plant likes sun or shade, damp or dry, or open or sheltered, this meeting is just for you. And, as even experienced gardeners know, there is always something new to learn.
Penketh and Sankey Gardening Society meets at the Olive Tree, Chapel Road, Penketh WA5 2NB at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday in the month. Membership costs £15 for the year, plus a £2 admission fee for each meeting. Visitors are welcome for an admission fee of £5.
