FIRE & Rescue crews were called out following reports of an ammonia leak at an industrial site at Birchwood, Warrington, earlier today, Monday.
At 14:51, three fire engines from Warrington, Lymm and Widnes, and a weekday fire engine based at Frodsham, attended the premises on Leacroft Road.
Fire crews had been called to an industrial site following a reported ammonia leak from plant equipment. On arrival, crews confirmed that all staff had been safely evacuated and accounted for.
Cordons were put in place and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus successfully isolated the source of the leak.
Crews handed the incident back to the responsible site representatives.
