FIRE & Rescue emergency services, using a raft, helped rescue a person from the River Mersey at Warrington late on Thursday night.
At 22:56 one fire engine and the rescue boat from Warrington, two fire engines from Penketh, three fire engines from Lymm, Powey Lane and Birchwood, and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Chester attended at the Riuver Mersey on Bridge Foot, following reports of a person in the water.
Using a raft, firefighters successfully reached and recovered the individual from the water. The casualty was then transferred to the care of on-scene paramedics.
