POLICE have secured a three-month closure order on a Warrington property following a string of complaints about drug use and anti-social behaviour.
Officers from the Northern Problem-Solving Team were successful in applying for a Closure Order at Warrington Magistrates Court for an address in the Farrell Street area of the town last Thursday.
The securing of the order comes after the team worked alongside residents in the area in gathering evidence of disruptive behaviour, including: incidents of drug use, threatening and abusive behaviour, noise complaints and frequent dog fouling.
Under the closure order, the address will remain boarded up for a period of three months. Anyone who enters the property within that time, including the recently removed occupants, could face a hefty fine or even a prison sentence.
Anyone with concerns about suspicious, anti-social or criminal behaviour in their area can report it to Cheshire Police via the Cheshire Police website or by calling 101.
