ONE casualty was taken to hospital following a house fire during the early hours of today at a terraced property in Latchford, Warrington, where smoke and flames were seen coming from a ground-floor window.
At 00:28 three fire engines from Warrington, Lymm and Penketh attended reports of a fire at a property on Gaskell Avenue.
Crews were called to reports of smoke and flames coming from the ground-floor window of a terraced property. Six firefighters were rapidly deployed into the house using three hose reel water jets to tackle the fire.
A thorough search was conducted and all persons were accounted for. One person was taken to hospital by paramedics to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
Crews were at the incident for 1 hour 20 Minutes.
