WARRINGTON North MP Charlotte Nichols took part in Pow-HER of the Pack fitness class, a women-only fitness class for women of all backgrounds, no matter their age or fitness level.
The scheme is supported by the Warrington Wolves Foundation and the aim is to have fun, bring people together and help lift women up.
Every session aims to promote women’s wellbeing through focusing on physical, mental, hormonal and social health. Each class varies and includes a different physical activity that is tied into the coaching focus for the week.
In a few weeks, Charlotte will be taking part in the London Marathon to help raise money for the Warrington Wolves Foundation. This will allow them to carry on their mission of bringing communities together and changing lives through sport. Ms Nichols, said:“I absolutely loved taking part in the fitness session with Pow-HER of the Pack. Not only are these sessions a way to get a bit fitter and improve your physical health, but they’re also a great way to improve your mental health by socialising and meeting new people. Everyone there was so warm and friendly. I’d definitely encourage people to get involved as it really is a place for all women, and the focus is on fun, friendship and health.”
“It’s so important to see the work the Warrington Wolves Foundation does because you can see firsthand the difference the money makes to our local community. That’s why I’m so proud to be supporting the Foundation by running the London Marathon in a couple of weeks raise money for them. This will help them in their mission of creating a happier, healthier, more connected Warrington.”
