FIREFIGHTERS used beaters and water backpacks to put out a grass fire at Moore near Warrington on Saturday evening.
At 19:58, one crew from Runcorn attended reports of a grass fire on land off Moore Lane. which was extinguished by firefighters using beaters.
A water backpack and bucket of water were then used to dampen down the area. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots in and around the surrounding area. No cause was given.
In a slightly early incident, one crew from Warrington attended reports of a fire near Bewsey Farm Close, Warrington.
A small fire was extinguished by firefighters using a water backpack and a bucket of water. Police were informed as it was believed to have been lit deliberately.
