ONE casualty was taken to hospital following a single-vehicle collision at Croft, Warrington, during the early hours of Saturday morning.
At 01:49, one fire engine from Penketh and one fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended reports of a collision on Heath Lane, Croft.
Firefighters isolated the battery of a car following the incident involving a single vehicle. One casualty was assessed by paramedics and later taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, in another incident, one fire crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fence on fire at Latchford, Warrington.
At 01:07, firefighters attended the fence fire on Poachers Lane.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fence that was well alight. A nearby property was checked for signs of fire spread. This is believed to have started accidentally.
Earlier on Friday evening one fire crew attended reports of a tree fire near Bewsey Farm Close
On arrival, firefighters discovered a fire within a tree trunk. Firefighters used water backpacks were and pumped water from a nearby water source to extinguish the fire.
