OVER the forthcoming Easter weekend, as well as gearing up with special Easter Menus, the Raven Inn at Glazebury, Warrington, is launching another customary charity fundraiser.
There is a raffle with Easter hampers as prizes. This fundraiser is in support of MIND mental health and the Raven community fund.
To date, the Raven has raised just short of £6,100 for good causes, such as Parkinson’s UK, Macmillan, St Rocco’s hospice, St Anne’s hospice. AMMF and Greater Manchester blood bikes.
The Easter weekend marks a big upturn in activities at the Raven and is an ideal time to get along to the pub for a drink or a meal, or both and stand a chance of winning an Easter hamper, whilst supporting worthwhile causes.
It all kicks off with ‘Feel Good Friday’, tomorrow, Good Friday, with freshly battered Haddock, hand-cut chips, homemade mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce, all for under a tenner.
Later on in the evening is the ‘areas only’ open mic night.
Then there are Easter Sunday & Easter Monday special menus.
Easter Monday marks the start of Monday opening back at the Raven.
It doesn’t stop there.
For the early May bank holiday weekend – 2nd to 4th of May, the now well-established plant sale, will be held.
Moss Nurseries, Leigh will be at the Raven with bedding plants, trailing plants, pot plants, hanging baskets & shrubs.
Moss Nurseries, Leigh, supply the beautiful hanging baskets that adorn the Raven every year.
So many examples of the Raven Inn community pub and the local community working hand in glove.
