THE community owned Raven Inn at Glazebury, Warrington, has been awarded the prestigious CAMRA ‘Pub of the Season’ award for the winter of 2025/26.
General Manager Adam Love was presented with the award by Nick Boseley, the Campaign for Real Ale’s Good Beer Guide coordinator, at the Raven on Saturday evening.
It was a proud day for everyone associated with the Raven, particularly Adam and all of his fantastic staff.
The Raven has three pumps dedicated to cask ales. The ales available are regularly rotated, providing the chance to sample an excellent selection or real ale. Usually featuring a cask beer from at least one local supplier and one dark beer.
Nick Bosely paid tribute to the solidarity of the community in the success of the Raven and the fact that the pub has come to the fore when the climate for all licensed premises has been so challenging.
Receiving the award, General Manager Adam Love thanked all of those who had played a part in both saving the Raven and steering it to this very successful point.
Major credit goes to Adam for the leadership he has brought to the Raven, along with his first rate team.
Spokesperson Peter Sturman said: “Providing cask ale was one of the objectives of the Raven from the very start. To receive this award, from CAMRA, after just two and a half years, is quite an achievement>”
