FIRE crews were called out to three separate fires in the open across Warrington on Saturday, one an unattended campfire and two others believed to have been deliberate ignitions.
At 18:51 yesterday evening, one crew from Lymm attended at Gala Close near Appleton and extinguished a small fire and dampened down the surrounding area. Police were informed, as it is believed to have been ignited deliberately.
Earlier at 16:02, firefighters from Warrington located an unattended campfire in woodland near Cinnamon Brow and extinguished it using their water backpacks.

At 15:11, one fire engine from Warrington attended reports of a fire on Orford Avenue, Warrington.
Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the open, which is suspected to have been ignited deliberately.
In another incident at 12:24, one crew from Warrington attended reports of a chimney fire on Secker Avenue, Latchford.
Firefighters entered the loft space of a house and used their water backpacks to extinguish hot embers which were smouldering towards the upper end of a chimney flue when the fireplace was not lit.
