FIREFIGHTERS were called out to help rescue a horse from a river at Burtonwood, Warrington, on Tuesday evening.
At 17:51, two crews from Warrington and Knutsford, and two Animal Rescue Units from Knutsford and Bollington, attended the incident off Hall Lane.
Firefighters were called out after a horse, named Bluebell, had fallen into a river. Swift water rescue technicians entered the water and successfully guided the animal to safety using a lead rope.
Bluebell was then handed back to the care of its owner.
