Emo Prom returns to Warrington for it’s fifth year

Asylum Club Night invites you to step into your Emo Bridgerton fantasy this February, as their much-loved Emo Prom returns to Warrington for its fifth and most theatrical year yet.

The event takes place on Friday 27 February at Empire on Bridge Street and will see the venue transformed into a dramatic Masquerade Ball. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme, with masks, formalwear and decadent prom attire all part of the tradition that has made the night a standout in the local calendar.
Relaunched in July 2021 and taking place monthly, Asylum Club Night has grown into a recognised name within the North West’s alternative scene. The brand has hosted a range of established rock and metal DJs, expanded into daytime events with the DAMMIT! brand and delivered events across the region, while maintaining Warrington as its home base.
Last year, two of their DJ’s, Kirsty & Skylar were handpicked to play at Slam Dunk music Festival in Leeds.
Organisers say Emo Prom remains one of their most anticipated and visually distinctive events each year.: “Emo Prom is always one of the most memorable nights in our calendar. People really embrace the atmosphere, the fashion and the emotion of it. From pulling out old prom dresses from the attic, to a sea of suits & ties, the effort people put in creates something genuinely special and unique.”
The evening will feature a number of traditional prom elements with an alternative twist, including a themed photo booth, black roses for guests on arrival, a dedicated slow dance moment and the well loved balloon drop.

New for 2026, live rock violinist Hannah from touring event The Deadly Alt Ball will perform throughout the night, delivering live interpretations of well known emo and metal tracks to accompany the DJ sets and add a dramatic element to the experience.
Asylum Club Night’s Emo Prom continues to attract attendees from across the North West, combining nostalgia, community and alternative culture in one of Warrington’s most distinctive club events.: “Asylum is doing things nowhere else in the North West is doing and continue to give a safe space for the alternative community in Warrington.”
