A local man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a flat fire at Padgate, Warrington, on Monday afternoon.
At 12.20 pm on Monday, 9 February, police were called to reports of a fire at a residential address on Woodvale Close, Warrington.
Police and fire attended the scene and discovered an isolated fire in the living room, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
A 48-year-old local man was arrested at the address on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He remains in custody at this time.
