POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman motorist was allegedly assaulted by another woman following a road rage incident at Birchwood, Warrington.
At 3.30pm on Friday 16 January a woman was driving along Birchwood Park Avenue when a car pulled in front of her and stopped on Birchwood Park Way.
The suspect approached the woman’s car and assaulted her.
The victim was driving a grey Skoda and the suspect was driving a white Peugeot.
As part of the investigation a 53-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
DC Anna Hull said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to establish the circumstances. The same goes for anyone who has dash cam footage capturing it.”
