LYMM Oughtrington Park Cricket Club has the most improved cricket ground in Cheshire.
The title has been awarded by the Cheshire Cricket League and is a reward for club members who have carried out many years of voluntary work on the Oughtrington Lane ground.
League chair Selwyn Stephenson presented the award to the club’s league representative Mani Singh, who is also 2nd team vice captain.
Mr Stephenson said: “This award reflects the long-term investment that LOPCC volunteers and members have continuously made to both capital Investment and regular maintenance over many years.
“Every time I visit the club in Lymm, not only am I made to feel welcome, as are all the league umpires and visiting clubs, but I see year-on-year improvements to the ground and the facilities. The spirit of cricket and everything we love about the game is alive and thriving at Lymm.”
