Travellers ordered to vacate Peel Hall Park

TRAVELLERS given temporary permission to remain at Peel Hall Park, Fearnhead, have now been served notice to vacate the site.

The encampment of seven vehicles, which arrived last Wednesday (June 15) has been served notice by Warrington Borough Council to vacate the site by 3pm tomorrow Friday.

A similar size encampment used the site last April after vacating land at nearby Birchwood Park.

It is one of four unauthorised traveller sites currently listed in the Warrington area.

An encampment of seven vehicles on Longshaw Street, Bewsey, has been served notice to vacate the site by 5pm today.

Encampments have also been reported on private land at Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood (5 caravans arrived June 20 ) and Olympic Way, Fearnhead (six caravans arrived June 18)

Landowners have been contacted with offers of advice and support
