Mixed picture as eight areas see increases in new COVID-19 cases as downward trend continues

WHILE COVID-19 infection rates continued a downward trend across Warrington, eight areas of the town saw increases in new cases in the latest small area data.

While new COVID-19 case numbers have risen in Cuilcheth West & Croft, Winwick & Burtonwood, Locking Stumps. Kingswood & Whittle Hall, Woolston, Great Sankey and Hood Manor & Sankey Bridges, two areas, Orford and Appleton Thorn, Stretton & Walton, recorded no nedw cases.

There were a total of 252 new cases week ending May 07 , compared to 340 the previous week and 455 the week before that.
