WINGER Tom Lineham is the latest Warrington Wolves player set to leave the club at the end of the season, after signing for Wakefield Trinity.
Lineham, who got a taste of his new club in Sunday’s 28-22 defeat at Wakefield, joined the Wire in 2016 from Hull FC and has gone on to score 83 tries in 130 appearances.
The Wolves say Lineham remains an integral part of the squad for the remainder of the campaign and will leave with everyone’s best wishes this winter.
Commenting on his move Lineham said: “Wakefield is a really tough place to go, and the club have some great, skilful players, who play a good brand of Rugby.
“That is something that really appealed to me and, hopefully, I can come in, work with the group, with new players, coaches, and constantly continue to develop my game.”
“It’s a new challenge and one I am really excited about.”
In his time at Warrington Lineham helped the club win their first Challenge Cup since 2012 as well as making two Grand Final appearances.
His departure follows Blake Austin’s move to Leeds while fellow Australian Jake Mamo will join Castleford at the end of his contract.
The futures of several other players are yet to be determined, with prop Chris Hill linked to Huddersfield and Sitaleki Akauola rumoured to be joining Salford.
