WARRINGTON North MP Charlotte Nichols has been listed as a ‘one to watch’ in the ‘Women in Westminster 100,’ in an initiative to mark International Women’s Day.

This initiative run by the parliamentary magazine, The House reflects Charlotte’s rise to the front bench in her first year in office, becoming Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities last November.
The profile notes Charlotte’s background in the trade union movement and her contributions to debates on the mental health costs of lockdown.
Charlotte said: “As a newbie in one of the most tumultuous years in British politics it’s really nice to be recognised by this initiative.
“On this International Women’s Day, I’m reminded not only of all the inspiring women who came before me on whose shoulders I stand, but the women of our community that I am privileged to represent- from keyworkers in female-dominated sectors like care and retail, to entrepreneurs, and those blazing the trail in traditionally male-areas.
“My job is to help build a fairer more equal society to allow all women to reach their full potential.”
