Sisters face third birthday in rescue as Warrington cats desperately await a home

TWO bonded Warrington cats are approaching their third birthday – but they have spent almost their entire lives waiting for someone to give them a home.

Willow and Misty came into the care of Safe Cats Rescue in Warrington as young kittens and, incredibly, the sisters have now spent almost three years in rescue.
With their third birthday approaching in November, the voluntary rescue is making a special appeal to find the closely bonded pair a loving forever home before they reach the milestone.
Willow and Misty are extremely close and must be adopted together.

Safe Cats says the girls are lovely cats who have never had the opportunity to experience life as part of a family in their own home.
The rescue is already particularly busy, making finding permanent homes for cats in its care even more important.

George

Older George also waiting for his chance
The rescue is also hoping someone will come forward to offer a home to George, who is believed to be around 12 years old.
George has been in rescue for approximately eight months and would be best suited to a quiet home where he can be the only cat.
Safe Cats is particularly keen to find someone who will give an older cat the opportunity he deserves, as older animals can often be overlooked by people looking to adopt.
All three cats are ready for adoption and are neutered or spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
Safe Cats carefully home-checks potential adopters, stressing that finding the right home is more important than simply finding a home quickly.
The rescue is a 100 per cent voluntary, non-profit organisation and says newspaper coverage could help reach potential adopters who may not use Facebook or other social media.
Anyone who believes they could offer Willow and Misty a loving home together, or give George the quiet home he needs, can contact Safe Cats Rescue at safecats@outlook.com
Could you be the person who finally gives Willow, Misty or George the forever home they have been waiting for?
