Ukrainian families and the local community will come together in Lymm tomorrow, Saturday for a special celebration of Ukrainian culture, traditions and friendship.
The Pokrova Party, organised by Ukrainian House UK CIC, will take place at the Maple Lodge Scout and Guide Centre from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday, September 26.
The event will bring together Ukrainian and local families from Lymm and the wider Warrington area, highlighting the strong community connections that have developed since the arrival of Ukrainian families in the region.
Visitors will be able to experience traditional Ukrainian food, music and cultural performances, alongside family activities and opportunities to learn more about Ukrainian heritage and traditions.
The event will also shine a spotlight on the Blood Solidarity – Drop of Life initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and community support.
Fundraising will also take place to help purchase an evacuation pickup vehicle for Ukraine, supporting humanitarian and emergency response efforts.
Organisers say the event is intended to be both a celebration of Ukrainian culture and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between Ukrainian and local communities.
A spokesperson for Ukrainian House UK CIC said the organisation was looking forward to welcoming members of the community and showcasing Ukrainian heritage.

Pokrova, also known as the Feast of the Protection of the Mother of God, is an important Ukrainian cultural and religious tradition, making the event a fitting opportunity to celebrate heritage while highlighting the friendship and solidarity that has developed in Lymm.
For Lymm and the wider Warrington area, Saturday’s event will provide an opportunity to see how Ukrainian families have become part of the local community while maintaining and sharing their own traditions.
And alongside the food, music and celebrations, organisers hope the fundraising and Drop of Life campaign will provide a practical reminder of the ongoing humanitarian needs in Ukraine.
