A fantastic evening of fashion, fundraising and community spirit has raised more than £3,000 for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).
The charity’s much-loved Fashion Show was held at the beautiful Owen House Wedding Barn, bringing together supporters, local businesses, volunteers and friends of CAFT for a very special evening.
The event proved a huge success, with more than £3,000 raised to support CAFT’s work providing life-changing experiences and opportunities for children whose lives are shaped by illness, disability or disadvantage.
Taking place during ‘Secondhand September’, the event also provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate sustainable fashion and encourage people to choose preloved.
Every outfit worn by the models on the catwalk was made up of preloved pieces from the CAFT Charity Shop, demonstrating just how stylish secondhand shopping can be. Better still, guests were able to buy the outfits and other preloved pieces from the Charity Shop during the evening, with rails and rails of fabulous clothing and plenty of bargains to be found.
For the third year in a row, the evening’s fashion show was hosted by well-known local stylist Lucy Norris, who once again expertly guided guests through the show.
And there were some familiar faces on the catwalk, as almost all of the models were members of the CAFT team.
Guests also had the opportunity to shop throughout the evening, with a wonderful selection of stallholders including Andrew Collier Photography, Mereside Candle Co, SOS Clothing Parties, Sarah from Tropic and Jewellery by Deanne.
The charity has paid special thanks to CAFT Patron Carol Robinson, who works tirelessly behind the scenes each year to help make the event possible, as well as the team at Owen House Wedding Barn for providing such a beautiful setting and for their warm welcome and support throughout the event.
CAFT also thanked its dedicated team of volunteers, whose hard work is essential to events such as the Fashion Show.
