ONE casualty was taken to hospital this morning, suffering from the effects of smoke following a bedroom fire at a property in Chapelford, Warrington.
At 08:19 two fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath attended at the residential property on Colorado Close after being called to a fire in a first-floor bedroom.
The fire was out on arrival, and an item affected by the fire was removed from the property. A high-pressure fan was then used to ventilate the premises.
One casualty was given oxygen for smoke inhalation before being handed into the care of paramedics, who later took them to hospital.
