THE annual Winwick Carnival brought vibrant community spirit, live entertainment, and hundreds of local families to the Winwick Community Centre on Saturday.
Crowds gathered in large numbers to celebrate the 22nd year of the village tradition. The event raised essential funds for local charities, including dogs from Manchester & District Home for Stray Dogs who visited to find new homes.
The main stage hosted an energetic lineup of local musicians and performers who kept the festive atmosphere alive throughout the day.
This year’s festivities introduced several brand-new elements alongside carnival classics.
The brand-new Winwick Carnival mascot debuted alongside Warrington Wolves’ mascot, Wolfie, who delighted attendees with an unforgettable display of “dad dancing”.
Attendees enjoyed thrilling rides hosted by Silcock’s Fun Fairs alongside the traditional vintage vehicle and classic car display.
Organised entirely by a dedicated committee of local volunteers, the event spotlighted over 80 craft, charity, and food stalls. Organisers extended their gratitude to all those who helped out and attended.
