Step into wellness with new Living Well Community Walks

Residents are invited to get active, meet new people and enjoy a gentle stroll around Warrington town centre as part of a new monthly guided Living Well Community Walks delivered in partnership with the Living Well Hub and LiveWire Warrington.

Starting on Thursday 16 July, the guided walks are designed to help people improve their wellbeing, build confidence and connect with others in a friendly and supportive environment.
Participants should meet at the Living Well Hub at 11am for an 11.15am start. Each walk will last around 30 to 45 minutes and cover approximately 3km at a gentle pace, using smooth and accessible routes through the town centre.
The walks are ideal for people who are new to walking groups, returning to physical activity after a break, or simply looking for a relaxed way to stay active and social.
Walkers can also discover simple, easy-to-follow routes that they can use independently in the future.

Cllr Tony Higgins, Warrington Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “Feeling connected to others plays an important role in our overall wellbeing. These gentle community walks are a fantastic way for people to improve their physical and mental wellbeing while enjoying the company of others.
“Whether you’re looking to meet new people, build your confidence or simply spend some time outdoors, everyone is welcome to come along and give it a try. We look forward to seeing residents of all ages take their first steps towards a healthier lifestyle.”

What to expect:

  • an easy, relaxed walk on smooth, accessible paths
