THE team from Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Warrington has been enjoying a week-long series of activities to celebrate the return of Prime Day.

Employees were treated to Juice Bikes, making smoothies by cycling as they picked, packed and shipped Prime Day products for customers around the UK.
Prime Day, which launched in the UK a decade ago, is one of the busiest days of the year across Amazon’s buildings.

Thais Moura, an employee at Amazon in Warrington who took part in the activities said: “We love Prime Day at Amazon in Warrington. It’s a great day with a lot of buzz and excitement, and the events organised to mark the event this year have been fantastic. Exciting periods like Prime Day give the team the chance to build on the excellent work we do throughout the rest of the year and show how slick our operations are.”

Christian Stewart, general manager at Amazon in Warrington, added: “It was a big year for us at Amazon, with Prime Day deals available over three days. Operations to meet demand ramped up here early and the team was in great spirits preparing to pick, pack and ship thousands of items throughout the period. I am impressed at how we came together this year to make the event so successful – the celebrations were well-deserved, as they always are.”
