Oliver Daniels from Nando’s, Golden Square in Warrington has reached the UK and Ireland final of Nando’s Grillers’ Challenge 2026.

Nando’s Grillers’ Challenge is an international competition that takes place every year. It celebrates and tests the skill and passion behind its famous PERi-PERi chicken. Each country with a Nando’s restaurant selects their very best Grillers, with one from each country going head-to-head in the ultimate International Final, a true showdown of talent.
Garry Duncan, Operations Director of Nando’s UK and Ireland, said: “Huge congratulations to Oliver and the other finalists. Making it this far is an incredible achievement, and a real reflection of the dedication, skill and passion our Grillers bring to their restaurant every day.”
The UK and Ireland leg of the competition has involved over 500 restaurant heats, 54 quarter-final heats and 7 semi-finals, culminating in the ultimate UK final. It is so much more than a cook-off, each round tests the Griller’s technical skill, passion and knowledge of what makes the tastiest PERi-PERi chicken.

Garry continued: “Grillers’ Challenge goes far beyond competition. It shines a spotlight on what makes Nando’s special, our people, our flavour, and our Southern African heritage. It’s also a chance to recognise and celebrate the incredible talent across our restaurants, inspiring individuals to push themselves further and grow on a global stage.”
The UK and Ireland final will take place on 7th July in Nando’s Leeds Trinity restaurant. The winner, together with the runners-up, will head to the International Final in Perth, Australia in October.
