HUNDREDS of participants gathered at Victoria Park in Warrington on Sunday to take part in Cancer Research UK’s annual Race for Life.

The Race for Life event featured 3k, 5k, and 10k running routes, alongside the highly anticipated Pretty Muddy and Pretty Muddy Kids obstacle courses.
The morning kicked off with the 10k at 09:30, followed by the 3k and 5k events.

The afternoon brought the Pretty Muddy 5k and children’s obstacle courses.
Local fitness experts guided runners through pre-race warm-ups, helping maintain high energy levels across the packed schedule.
Participants walked, jogged, and ran to raise vital funds for cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment research.
Many runners wore personalised signs on their backs detailing exactly who they were running in honour or in memory of. The funds raised by the Warrington community directly contribute to life-saving clinical trials and scientific discoveries across the UK.
