A road closure is set to take place for up to five days on a residential road at Birchwood, to allow Openreach to install a new service connection.

The closure will be on Whinchat Drive from July 16.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Fieldfare Close from its junction with Whinchat Drive to outside property number 20.
The Order will be effective from 16th July 2026 for 5 days, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Whinchat Drive, Swallow Close, Fieldfare Close and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Openreach to install a new service connection.
