Local charity Creating Adventures, which empowers adults with Autism and learning disabilities, has been supported by Cheshire Community Foundation with funding for a part-time ‘Activities & Engagement Coordinator’ post for one year, with the charity planning to continue it long term.

The role will involve overseeing the busy programme, supporting members, planning new activities and reaching more adults with autism and learning disabilities who need support.
Jenny Allcock, Founder & CEO said “This part-time post is for a special person to be central to the CA community to oversee and support a busy programme of activities based around creativity and life skills. We are planning to develop the programme to reach and support more adults through online sessions for those unable to reach us or outside of the area, to deliver a podcast project and to organise trips and off-site activities therefore the person who is successful with this role will be leading on these ideas and plans. The successful candidate will play a vital part in the charity and the rewards are endless from working with the most amazing individuals who will steal the heart of the new team member.
We’re about to enter a new chapter in our journey as the Board of Trustees and CA team have created a new 5 year Strategy and we have also launched our ‘Forever Home for Creating Adventures’ campaign with the support of Helsby based video production company Dark Shadow Productions to find a permanent home, therefore the new team member will be joining at an exciting time for us. You will find our campaign video on our YouTube channel. We are extremely thankful to Cheshire Community Foundation and their donors for supporting this vital role which will not only support our growing membership and programme but also expand our delivery as we support more adults with autism and learning disabilities.”
