A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and making threats to kill following an incident on Orford Lane, Warrington, earlier today.

At around 11am today (Tuesday 16 June), police were called to reports of a man, possibly armed with a knife, attempting to break into a commercial property in the Orford Lane area.
Officers quickly attended the scene and, following a search of the area, arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of affray and threats to kill. No knife was found during the search.
The man has since been taken into custody and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
At this time, it is believed to be an isolated incident and anyone with any concerns is asked to speak to an officer.
Since the arrest, police have released a statement regarding a video in circulation on social media.
A Chesahire Police spokesperson said: “We are aware of a video circulating on social media of a man attempting to force entry to a property while holding what appears to be a knife.
“We want to reassure residents that this video is unrelated to the incident on Orford Lane which occurred today (Tuesday 16 June) and instead relates to an incident which occurred on Leonard Street on Saturday 9 May.
“A man has since been charged in connection with the video, and we would urge residents and members of the public to avoid speculating as this could jeopardise any court proceedings.”
