A Warrington-based kitchen installer is celebrating a standout year after being named a national award finalist and lined up as a speaker and ambassador at one of the UK’s largest trade events.
Andy Snelson, owner of That Kitchen Fitter in Burtonwood, has been shortlisted for Kitchen Installer of the Year at the BIFIS Awards 2026. He will also appear across all three days of InstallerSHOW 2026, the industry’s flagship gathering, running from the 23rd to 25th of June at the NEC in Birmingham.
BIFIS, the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists, is the government-sanctioned, not-for-profit body that sets accreditation standards for installers across the UK. Formerly known as BiKBBI, the institute recently rebranded to reflect its broader role across the fitted interiors sector. Its annual awards recognise the very best in the trade nationally, with finalists independently judged and drawn from across the country, making Andy’s place on the shortlist a significant achievement for a Warrington business.
Across the three days, Andy will take to the stage five times. In the Kitchen Fitter Arena he presents “Faster installs without cutting corners” on Tuesday 23 June, “Winning work from kitchen retailers and builders: becoming the fitter they trust” on Wednesday 24 June, and “Future-proofing your kitchen business” on Thursday 25 June. He also co-hosts two “Top picks for 2026” sessions in the Brand Ambassador Hub, on the Tuesday and Thursday.
Andy has been fitting kitchens in the Warrington area since 2005 and working in the trade for nearly 30 years, having gained his NVQ Level 3 qualification in 1998. He has previously been featured in BKU Magazine, one of the kitchen industry’s leading trade publications, and has spoken at InstallerSHOW in previous years.
Andy said: “To be recognised at this level after nearly 30 years in the trade means a great deal. I’ve always tried to do right by my customers in Warrington and the surrounding area, so to be competing on a national stage, and to be asked back as an ambassador across all three days of the show, feels like a real milestone. I’m proud to be flying the flag for the town.”
