BMW car fire believed to be electrical fault

A fire involving a BMW car at Stretton, Warrington, is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

At 15:38 yesterday, Tuesday, one crew attended reports of a car fire at Bower Crescent, Stretton.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish a car that was well alight. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots, which were subsequently dampened down. Police were informed of this incident.
Cheshire Police later confirmed that at around 4.15 pm on Tuesday, 2 June, police were called to reports of a car fire on Bower Crescent, Stretton.
Police attended and found that there had been a fire involving a white BMW.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and is believed to be linked to an electrical fault.
