BIRCHWOOD Park welcomes the return of its annual community fundraiser, DuckFest, this Thursday 28 May, bringing together families from across Warrington and the wider community for a fun-filled day in support of a meaningful local cause.
Taking place by the lake at the EngineRooms from 11:30 am to 2 pm, DuckFest has become a staple in the local calendar – offering a vibrant programme of activities designed to encourage people to connect, enjoy the outdoor space, and get involved in raising funds for charity.
All proceeds raised during the event will be donated to Birchwood Park’s community partner, The Brianna Ghey Legacy Project, helping to support its important work within the local community.
The much-loved Duck Dash returns this year, seeing hundreds of yellow ducks released across the water to be cheered on by spectators. For those looking to partake in the race, ducks can be purchased from reception at a variety of locations across the Park: Chadwick, 401, Bridgewater Place, EngineRooms and Alive & Well.
Additional activities and attractions will be available, including stalls and games, and a raffle featuring a selection of prizes. There will be a BBQ hosted on the terrace, offering freshly prepared food for visitors to enjoy, as well as live music to create a festival-style atmosphere throughout the park.
Rain or shine, visitors can expect a lively atmosphere with a wide range of entertainment suitable for all ages. After all – rain is lovely weather for ducks!

Linda Welsby, Leasing Manager at Birchwood Park, said: “DuckFest is a key moment in our calendar and a fantastic opportunity to bring our community together for such a positive cause.
It’s always brilliant to see people from across the surrounding area getting involved, whether that’s taking part in the activities, enjoying the live entertainment, or simply spending time with friends and family. Events like this are at the heart of what Birchwood Park is all about – creating a vibrant environment where people feel connected, supported, and part of something bigger.” Find out more at: https://www.birchwoodpark.co.uk/duck-fest-2026/
