WARRINGTON Wolves maintained their perfect home form in 2026 with a 26-12 win over Bradford.
They dominated the first half but found the Bulls tough to break down, scoring three tries but were denied several others.
Leon Hayes made his first Super League appearance of the season, partnering Ewan Irwin at half-back, and for times in the game, the Wolves had four Warrington lads in their spine positions.
The first try came inside five minutes, Josh Thewlis slicing through 12-man Bradford, with Jayden Okunbor sinbinned moments earlier for a high tackle on Thewlis.
Bradford were reduced to 11 for two minutes due to a green card for Chris Atkin’s dislocated finger, and Warrington showed no mercy as Luke Thomas found a way over from close range for 10-0.
But the visitors would frustrate Warrington’s hopes of getting more points until the half hour mark, Albert Hopoate with a trademark finish in the right corner after Toff Sipley had been held up over the line the tackle before, ruled out by the video referee.
Bradford gave themselves a lifeline before half time, Jamie Gill backing over under the posts and they could have reduced arrears further had Waqa Blake not been penalised for obstruction in setting up Connor Wynne’s would-be try on the hooter.
Warrington led 14-6 but handed Bradford the initiative early in the second half when James Bentley was sinbinned for a chicken wing tackle in Blake.
But the Bulls couldn’t make the most of their numerical advantage, and it was Warrington who secured the next try, Irwin dummying through to go under the posts.
The game was done on the hour mark when Matty Ashton raced down the left touchline.
Hopoate was denied a second try by Caleb Aekins in the corner before Bradford got the final score on 68 in consolation, a solo effort by Jayden Nikorima.
