Police reassure public following reports of male acting suspiciously at park

POLICE have moved to reassure members of the public following reports of a male acting suspiciously at Bewsey Park, Warrington, yesterday, Tuesday.

At around 8.30pm on Tuesday 19 May, police received a report that a man was believed to have been taking photos of children in Bewsey Park.
Officers have identified the man involved and spoken with him. It has since been established that no offences have taken place.
The man was on a FaceTime call at the time of the incident, and no photos were taken of any children or of the park itself.
Police would urge anyone who wishes to make any report of suspicious behaviour not to post on social media and instead to report it directly to Cheshire Police by calling us on 101, or 999 in an emergency, or via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us
